Priority Review — how it works
Priority Review is an optional, applicant-paid way to get your application seen sooner. It places you on a separate priority shortlist in the hiring team's view — clearly labeled as sponsored — without changing your score, your qualifications, or anyone else's chances. The basics
Optional, applicant-paid, and never required to apply.
▸What Priority Review is
An optional, one-time purchase an applicant can make after applying, when the hiring team has enabled it for that role. It adds a visibility channel — it is never required to apply, and applying is always free.
▸Who can buy it
It is only offered when the employer has opted the role in, and only to applicants above the 30th percentile — the eligibility threshold that keeps the priority channel meaningful for hiring teams.
▸What it costs
A single fee shown on the payment form at checkout. There is no subscription, no recurring charge, and no card kept on file beyond the dispute window.

A visibility layer, plus targeted suggestions.
▸Featured placement
Your application is pinned to a separate priority shortlist, above the general pool in the recruiter's ranked view.
▸Your merit score is untouched
Priority Review is a visibility layer only. Your completeness and match scores are computed by a system with no connection to the payments layer — a purchase cannot influence any algorithmic output.
▸Application improvement suggestions
Activation unlocks targeted, role-specific suggestions drawn from your structured profile and the signals the hiring team flagged as mattering most. These are guidance, not guarantees.
▸Full transparency to the hiring team
Recruiters always see that your placement arrived through the sponsored channel. Nothing is concealed or blended in silently.
What Priority Review does not do
It changes visibility — nothing else.
▸It does not change your score or ranking
It never alters your completeness score or any algorithmic ranking, and it does not move you up the standard applicant list ahead of others. It is a separate channel, not a thumb on the existing scale.
▸It does not guarantee an outcome
It does not guarantee an interview, a callback, or a hiring decision, and it says nothing about how fast an employer will move. Humans make hiring decisions.
▸It does not affect anyone else
It never hides, suppresses, or demotes any other candidate's application. Every candidate on the standard list is evaluated on exactly the same criteria as before.
▸It is never required
Applying is always free. No employer can require you to buy Priority Review to be considered.
On the applicant side
How the service is rendered to you.
▸At checkout
You pay the one-time fee. Your card is encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and permanently purged 60 days after the charge resolves — the standard card-dispute window. Receipts retain only the last four digits.
▸Immediately after
Your application is flagged and placed on the priority shortlist for that role, your improvement suggestions unlock, and a receipt is available to you at any time from your purchases page. Payment is finalized within one business day.
▸One activation per application
You can activate Priority Review once per application; repeat purchases on the same role are not permitted. Your placement stays active on that role until the hiring team finishes its review cycle — there is nothing to cancel.
On the hiring team side
How it is rendered to recruiters.
▸What the recruiter sees
Your application appears pinned at the top of a separate priority shortlist inside their ATS, explicitly labeled as sponsored — never blended silently into the organic pool.
▸Same data, same rubric
They see the same underlying profile, the same rubric, and the same scores they would see for any candidate. The sponsored label makes the ordering effect explicit; it does not change what is being evaluated.
▸Employers opt in
The priority channel exists on a role only because the employer enabled it. Revenue is shared with the posting recruiter under our standard split.

Priority Review purchases are non-refundable. The service is rendered the moment your application is placed on the priority shortlist — which happens as soon as payment is captured — so the value has already been delivered before a refund window would exist. The same applies to queue-boost and any add-ons, billed as separate one-time charges under the same terms.
▸The one exception
If a genuine technical error on our side prevented activation after you paid, email support@sourcehire.app and we will investigate promptly; genuine activation failures are refunded in full. Nothing here removes any refund right you may have under applicable law.
