Merge.dev — the fastest way to support a customer who uses an HRIS we don't directly integrate
One Merge integration covers 30+ HRIS / ATS / payroll providers. The customer connects via Merge's hosted Link UI; we never see their credentials.
Merge.dev is a unified API across HRIS, ATS, and payroll providers. Connecting Merge once + having your customer link their specific tool through Merge's hosted Link UI gives us coverage of Workday, BambooHR, Rippling, Gusto, Greenhouse, Lever, and roughly 25 others without writing per-provider adapters.
Setup:
(1) Sign up at merge.dev and create a Production environment. (2) Copy your production access key and set MERGE_ACCESS_KEY in your env. (3) Optionally set MERGE_WEBHOOK_SECRET to enable real-time event ingestion.
Per-customer flow:
(1) Customer clicks Connect on /admin/integrations/merge. (2) They open Merge Link, choose their HRIS, and complete the customer-side OAuth. (3) Merge issues us an account_token; we store the opaque id in integrations.external_id. (4) Subsequent syncs use that token automatically.
Customer credentials never touch our infrastructure — Merge is the certified party.
