Source Unlimited is now SourceHire
Same mission, sharper name. A note to candidates, employers, and the community we built this with.
When we started Source Unlimited, the name described the ambition: limit nothing about who gets seen. Two years in, the team uses that ambition to mean something narrower and sharper — sourcing, but done in a way that respects the human on the other side. The product itself has evolved into a consent-first applicant tracking system. The new name follows the product.
So: Source Unlimited is now SourceHire. The platform you signed up for is the same. Every consent ledger entry, every application, every job posting carries forward unchanged. Your account works as it did yesterday. The URL still resolves. The team is the same. Only the name on the door has changed.
Why now
The honest answer: the old name confused people. Every demo, every intro call, we spent the first thirty seconds explaining that "Source Unlimited" was an ATS, not a recruiting agency, not a sourcing service, not a SaaS for unlimited streaming. The new name does the work for us. SourceHire — you source, you hire. Done.
There is also a deeper reason. Names are promises. The old name promised abundance, which is fine, but the abundance metaphor doesn't fit a market where the bottleneck for most teams isn't the size of the candidate pool. It's being able to look at a candidate without compromising their privacy or wasting their time. SourceHire promises the connection between the two parts of the workflow that matter.
What stays the same
- Consent ledger and granular per-field opt-ins. The hash-chained ledger keeps growing; nothing in your application history is removed or rewritten.
- Privacy posture. We still default to least-data-collected. Every page view and every export still leaves an audit trail.
- Pricing. There is no introductory rebrand-tax surprise on your next invoice.
- The team. Same engineers, same support email, same humans on the other end of every recruiter conversation.
- College Plus, our free job-readiness program. We are doubling down on this, not winding it down.
What is new
Beyond the name, three things land alongside this rebrand. A redesigned candidate apply flow that's easier on phones. A built-in analytics console for hiring teams that doesn't require Mixpanel or Amplitude. And Signal — the blog you're reading. We're going to publish here weekly: how we think about hiring, what we're reading, the small choices that compound.
“Hiring is the most leveraged thing most companies do. Treat candidates like the future colleagues they might be, not the throughput of a pipeline.”
A note to the community
Some of you found us because a friend forwarded a link. Some of you found us because we cold-emailed your team. Some of you found us through College Plus and told us afterward that you'd been ignored by twelve other ATSes before us. Thank you. The name change is paint on a building you helped us build.
If you have questions about the transition — billing, integrations, the Source Unlimited domain — reach us at hello@sourceunlimited.co. (That email forwards to the same inbox; we'll move it cleanly to a SourceHire address over the next few weeks.) The old links keep redirecting. Nothing breaks.
Where we go from here
The 2026 hiring market is strange. Teams are shipping faster with smaller headcount than ever. AI does more of the boring work. Reskilling matters more than where you went to school. The candidates who win those reshaped roles aren't necessarily the ones with the longest resumes — they're the ones who match the work that needs doing right now. Our job is to make that match-making honest, fast, and humane. That is what we are pointing the rebranded company at.
Welcome to SourceHire. Same craft. Better name.
