About the role
About Us
We are a staffing services technology company that helps organizations design, build, and scale digital products and engineering capabilities. Our teams deliver end-to-end software development, engineering, and design services, and we provide flexible staffing solutions to augment internal teams with specialized talent—quickly and reliably.
The Role
We are looking for a talented Systems Analyst to join our distributed engineering team. Whether you are a mid-career analyst looking to broaden your scope or a senior-level Systems Analyst ready to lead cross-functional initiatives, we have a spot for you on our ladder. You will work across the full system lifecycle, from requirements gathering and analysis to delivery oversight and optimization.
What You’ll Do
Requirements & Solution Discovery: Elicit, document, and validate business and system requirements; translate business needs into clear specifications, use cases, and acceptance criteria to guide software delivery and system reliability.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with Platform Engineers, DevOps, SREs, Product Managers, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment to align on requirements, SLAs, KPIs, and success criteria; facilitate workshops and decision-making.
Operations & Reliability: Assess operational requirements and non-functional needs (availability, performance, observability); contribute to monitoring requirements, incident response planning, and post-incident learning with a business lens.
Architecture & Roadmapping: Contribute to system-wide architectural decisions by interpreting how infrastructure, networking, storage, CI/CD, and security choices support business goals; help prioritize initiatives and roadmaps.
Process Improvement & Automation: Identify opportunities for automation and tooling that enhance efficiency, reduce manual work, and optimize costs; document business cases and ROI for proposed changes.
Security & Compliance: Ensure requirements reflect secure-by-default principles and applicable regulatory/compliance considerations; assist with risk assessments and control mappings.
Mentorship & Knowledge Transfer: For Senior+ roles, mentor junior analysts, promote best practices in requirements engineering, and lead knowledge transfer on complex platform initiatives.
Change Management & Governance: Track requirements changes, manage scope and impact analysis, and support governance processes; assist with data quality, backups, and DR considerations from a systems perspective.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: 3+ years in systems analysis, requirements management, or related roles (level determined by interview performance).
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to analyze business problems, model systems, and translate insights into actionable requirements and designs.
Communication & Facilitation: Excellent written and verbal communication; proven ability to facilitate stakeholder workshops and bridge gaps between business and technical teams.
Documentation & Modeling: Proficient with requirements elicitation, process modeling, data flow diagrams, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Data & Metrics: Comfort with defining, tracking, and reporting KPIs and business impact; basic data interpretation to validate outcomes.
Tools & Platforms: Experience with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira/Confluence, MS Visio/diagrams, Lucidchart, Aha!, Trello); familiarity with cloud and DevOps concepts is a plus.
Risk, Security & Compliance Mindset: Ability to identify risks, perform impact analyses, and map controls to regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Servicing: Strong customer mindset for internal stakeholders; adept at balancing competing priorities and delivering value.
Bonus Points
Experience with cloud-native architectures, serverless components, or edge computing from a systems analysis perspective.
Familiarity with hybrid or multi-cloud environments and their business implications.
Contributions to open-source projects or internal tooling demonstrating impact on business outcomes.
Exposure to regulated industries or compliance frameworks relevant to the company.
