Customer Success Specialist (Solutions Engineer) — Manufacturing AI Platform Location: Remote (50% travel to customer sites in Phoenix, AZ and Buffalo, NY) Overview We’re seeking a Customer Success Specialist (Solutions Engineer) who will partner with manufacturing customers to drive successful implementations and long-term adoption of StartProto’s AI Manufacturing OS. You’ll translate shop floor processes into scalable StartProto workflows, build integrations with customers’ existing systems, and help shape scalable playbooks and documentation that accelerate our customer success motion. This role offers influence over product direction and market strategy in a small, high-ownership team. What you’ll do Serve as the trusted technical partner from pre-sale through ongoing adoption, guiding implementations and field-ready solutions. Translate customer shop floor processes into StartProto workflows and integrations with MES, MRP, CRM, ERP, and other systems. Collaborate with customers to define success metrics, capture requirements, and deliver targeted outcomes (e.g., time-to-value, data accuracy, process automation). Build and maintain technical documentation, playbooks, and best-practice guides to scale customer success efforts. Provide hands-on support during deployments, pilot programs, and post-implementation optimization. Influence product direction by collecting customer feedback, identifying gaps, and communicating needs to the product and engineering teams. Travel to customer sites as needed (approximately 50%), with expenses covered. Who you are You’re comfortable working remotely and traveling to customer sites. You have 3–5 years of software development experience in TypeScript or Python. You’ve worked directly with customers in a support or success capacity. You have hands-on experience with MES, MRP, CRM, or ERP systems. You understand manufacturing workflows and the operational realities of data-center battery/large UPS manufacturers (Phoenix, AZ and Buffalo, NY locations). Qualifications BS in Computer Science or a related STEM field preferred. US Citizenship required. Compensation and equity Salary: $80,000–$90,000 per year Travel: All travel expenses covered (flights, hotel/Airbnb within budget, rental car, per diem via corporate card) Equity: 100,000 stock options (~1% ownership) of StartProto Inc.
