About the role
About Us
We are a staffing services technology company that helps organizations design, build, and scale digital products and engineering capabilities. Our teams deliver end-to-end software development, engineering, and design services, and we provide flexible staffing solutions to augment internal teams with specialized talent—quickly and reliably.
The Role
We are seeking a meticulous, results-driven Software QA/QC Test Manager to lead our quality assurance efforts. You’ll be responsible for defining the testing strategy, building and managing a team of QA engineers, and ensuring our software releases meet the highest standards of reliability and performance. You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and DevOps to integrate quality checks throughout the SDLC and ensure a seamless user experience.
What You’ll Do
• Test Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for manual and automated testing; define scope, resource requirements, and timelines for release cycles to ensure adequate coverage.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Recruit, train, and manage a team of QA engineers; conduct code reviews for test scripts, provide technical guidance, and foster a culture of quality first.
• Automation Framework Management: Oversee the design and maintenance of test automation frameworks; identify opportunities to convert manual tests into automated scripts to increase efficiency and regression coverage.
• Defect Tracking & Triage: Manage the defect lifecycle using tracking tools (e.g., Jira); lead bug triage meetings, prioritize critical issues, and ensure timely resolution before deployment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Developers, Product Managers, and UX Designers to understand requirements, validate acceptance criteria, and provide feedback on design testability.
• Administrative & Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of test cases and results; establish QA metrics (e.g., defect density, escape rate) and provide regular reports on release readiness and software health.
• Process Improvement: Stay updated on emerging QA trends and tools; continuously refine CI/CD pipelines and testing methodologies to reduce time-to-market without sacrificing quality.
What We’re Looking For
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly articulate technical issues to developers and explain risk assessments to stakeholders.
• Technical Proficiency: Proven ability to build and manage test strategies for web, mobile, and API applications; strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Automation Expertise: Demonstrated success in implementing automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify edge cases, troubleshoot complex bugs, and conduct root cause analysis.
• Tools & Platforms: Proficiency with bug tracking systems (Jira, Bugzilla), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab), and version control (Git).
• Resilience & Adaptability: Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment with frequent release cycles.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborative mindset; comfortable acting as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure product quality
