About the role
About Us
We are a staffing services technology company that helps organizations design, build, and scale digital products and engineering capabilities. Our teams deliver end-to-end software development, engineering, and design services, and we provide flexible staffing solutions to augment internal teams with specialized talent—quickly and reliably.
The Role
We are looking for a talented Scheduler to join our distributed project controls team. Whether you are a mid-career scheduling professional looking to broaden your scope in construction/infrastructure project controls or a senior-level Planning & Scheduling Engineer ready to lead critical schedule development and analysis decisions, we have a spot for you on our ladder. You will work across the full project lifecycle, bridging the gap between project planning, schedule management, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with client expectations.
What You’ll Do
• Schedule Development: Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using industry-standard scheduling tools (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar); build comprehensive work breakdown structures (WBS), logic networks, and critical path analyses for complex engineering and construction projects.
• Collaborate: Work closely with Project Managers, Civil Engineers, Structural Engineers, and Construction Managers in an Agile project environment to define schedule requirements, milestones, resource allocations, and project budgets.
• Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor schedule performance against baselines; prepare and distribute regular schedule status reports, look-ahead schedules, and variance analyses to project teams and client stakeholders.
• Schedule Analysis: Perform advanced schedule analysis including critical path method (CPM) analysis, earned value management (EVM), schedule risk analysis (SRA), and what-if scenario modeling to identify and mitigate schedule risks.
• Delay Analysis: Conduct forensic schedule analysis and delay claim support; prepare time impact analyses (TIA), windows analyses, and as-built schedule documentation for dispute resolution and contract compliance.
• Compliance & Standards: Implement rigorous scheduling standards and procedures in accordance with project contract requirements, industry best practices, and client-specific scheduling specifications (DCMA 14-Point Assessment, AACE International).
• Mentorship: (For Senior+ roles) Mentor junior schedulers and project controls staff; provide technical leadership on complex schedule development, analysis challenges, and schedule review processes.
• Maintenance: Continuously update and refine project schedules to reflect current progress, scope changes, and contract modifications; manage schedule change control processes and maintain historical schedule records.
What We’re Looking For
• Experience: 3–10+ years of hands-on project scheduling experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure, oil & gas, or a related project-focused industry.
• Scheduling Software Proficiency: Strong experience with Primavera P6 (required); proficiency in Microsoft Project, Asta Powerproject, or other scheduling platforms is a strong plus; ability to build, maintain, and analyze complex multi-thousand activity schedules.
• CPM Scheduling: Deep understanding of critical path method (CPM) scheduling principles, logic relationships, activity coding, and schedule optimization techniques.
• Earned Value Management: Experience implementing and reporting earned value management (EVM) metrics including SPI, CPI, BCWS, BCWP, and ACWP on large capital projects.
• Schedule Risk Analysis: Proficiency in quantitative schedule risk analysis (Monte Carlo simulation) using tools such as Oracle Risk Analyzer, Safran Risk, or Acumen Fuse.
• Delay & Claims: Experience performing forensic schedule analysis, delay quantification, and preparation of schedule-related claim documentation in support of dispute resolution or litigation.
• Regulatory & Contract Compliance: Deep knowledge of scheduling requirements embedded in project contracts (NEC, FIDIC, FAR/DFARS) and industry standards (AACE International Recommended Practices, DCMA 14-Point Assessment).
• Cross-Functional Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively in a fully remote, distributed team environment and communicate schedule status clearly to project teams, clients, and executive stakeholders.
• Construction & Engineering Knowledge: Solid understanding of construction sequencing, engineering design workflows, and procurement processes to build realistic and executable project schedules.
Bonus Points
• Certifications: Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP), Earned Value Professional (EVP), or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from AACE International or PMI.
• Schedule Analytics: Experience with schedule analytics and diagnostics tools such as Acumen Fuse, Deltek Cobra, or similar platforms for schedule health assessment and benchmarking.
• Resource & Cost Loading: Experience resource-loading and cost-loading schedules to support integrated cost/schedule control and cash flow forecasting.
• Oil & Gas / Energy: Experience scheduling large-scale oil & gas, LNG, power generation, or renewable energy projects including EPC and EPCM delivery models.
• Transportation & Infrastructure: Experience scheduling complex transportation, highway, bridge, or transit projects in coordination with state DOTs or federal agencies (FHWA, FTA).
• BIM Integration: Familiarity with 4D BIM scheduling, linking schedule activities to 3D models for construction sequencing visualization and clash detection.
• Federal Contracting: Experience working on federally funded projects with EVMS compliance requirements (ANSI/EIA-748) and IBR (Integrated Baseline Review) processes.
• Data & Reporting: Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) for schedule performance dashboards and executive-level reporting.
