About the role
Title: Owner / Principal Operator
Overview
We are a staffing services technology company that helps organizations design, build, and scale digital products and engineering capabilities. As the Owner (Principal Operator), you will assume company-wide ownership of operations, finance, and cross-functional execution. You’ll set strategic direction, optimize processes, uphold our values, and drive sustainable growth while ensuring exceptional service delivery, quality, and client success. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategic vision with disciplined execution, working closely with the Finance Director, HR, Sales, and Operations to align resources, data integrity, and governance with our mission.
What You’ll Do
• Own Operations Strategy and Execution: Define and execute the operational plan to scale the business, improve efficiency, and support revenue growth across all functions.
• Financial Stewardship: Oversee or partner closely with Finance to ensure accurate month-end close, robust financial controls, forecasting, budgeting, and audit readiness.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: lead collaboration across HR, Finance, Sales, and Operations to verify data integrity, streamline inter-departmental processes, and support client delivery and invoicing needs.
• Administrative Excellence with Scale: Ensure administrative records are accurate, compliant, and scalable; implement standardized workflows that reduce friction and improve internal controls.
• Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies; design and implement process improvements with measurable impact on cycle times, accuracy, and stakeholders’ satisfaction.
• Data Integrity and Reporting: Maintain clean data across CRM/ERP and finance systems; produce clear, actionable reports for leadership and external stakeholders.
• Compliance and Security: Ensure adherence to data privacy, confidentiality, and information security policies; reinforce governance practices.
• Talent and Culture: Foster a high-performance, collaborative environment; mentor and develop the operations team to handle increasing scope and complexity.
• Client and Vendor Engagement: Manage relationships with clients, vendors, and partners to ensure service quality, contract compliance, and favorable terms.
• Risk Management: Identify operational and financial risks; implement controls and contingency plans.
• Ownership Mindset: Model accountability, strategic thinking, and a relentless focus on outcomes that matter to the company’s growth and sustainability.
What We’re Looking For
• Experience: 5+ years in operational leadership, administration, or finance support with demonstrable impact on a growing, remote-enabled organization; prior experience supporting finance or operations in a technology or staffing services environment is a plus.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
• Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, communicate strategy clearly, and influence without direct authority.
