The Role
We are seeking a Head of Sustainability / ESG to build and lead the organization's environmental, social, and governance strategy. You will own ESG goals, reporting, and stakeholder engagement, embedding sustainability into operations and positioning the company for regulatory and investor expectations.
What You’ll Do
● ESG Strategy: Own the enterprise ESG strategy, materiality assessment, and goals.
● Reporting: Lead ESG reporting and disclosures aligned to leading frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD).
● Sustainability Programs: Drive decarbonization, energy, and social-impact initiatives across operations.
● Stakeholder Engagement: Engage investors, regulators, customers, and communities on ESG performance.
● Governance: Partner with legal and the board on ESG governance and risk.
● Measurement: Establish ESG metrics and track measurable progress against targets.
What We’re Looking For
● Experience: 8+ years in sustainability / ESG, including program leadership.
● Frameworks: Deep knowledge of ESG frameworks, disclosure, and reporting standards.
● Program Delivery: Track record delivering sustainability initiatives with measurable impact.
● Stakeholder Management: Experience engaging investors, regulators, and executives on ESG.
● Analytical: Strong data and reporting capabilities.
● Communication: Excellent communication and executive-influence skills.
● Education: Bachelor's required; advanced degree or ESG credential a plus.
Bonus Points
● Reporting Standards: Hands-on experience with GRI, SASB, TCFD, or CSRD.
● Decarbonization: Experience leading carbon / net-zero programs.
● Industry: ESG experience in the client's markets.
● Investor Relations: Experience with ESG investor engagement and ratings.
Compensation & Benefits
We believe in paying top-of-market rates for top-tier talent. The base salary range for this role is $345,000 to $390,000, with exact placement determined by your skills, years of experience, and interview performance.
