The Role We are looking for a General Counsel to serve as the top legal executive and chief legal advisor to the CEO and board. You will own the global legal strategy, corporate governance, commercial and M&A legal work, and the enterprise compliance and risk program. What You’ll Do ● Legal Strategy: Own the global legal strategy and serve as chief legal advisor to the CEO and board. ● Governance: Lead corporate governance, board matters, and entity management. ● Commercial: Oversee commercial contracts, M&A legal work, and negotiations. ● Compliance & Risk: Own the global compliance program and enterprise legal risk management. ● Litigation: Manage litigation, disputes, and outside counsel. ● Team Leadership: Build and lead the global legal function. What We’re Looking For ● Experience: 12+ years of legal experience, including senior in-house leadership. ● Qualification: JD and active bar admission in good standing. ● Breadth: Command of corporate, commercial, M&A, and compliance law. ● Global: Experience managing legal matters across multiple jurisdictions. ● Board Advisor: Experience advising boards and executive teams. ● Leadership: Experience building and leading legal teams. ● Judgment: Sound judgment balancing legal risk and business objectives. Bonus Points ● Public Company: Public-company / securities law experience. ● M&A: Significant M&A legal experience. ● Industry: Regulatory experience in the client's markets. ● International: Multi-jurisdiction / global operations experience. Compensation & Benefits We believe in paying top-of-market rates for top-tier talent. The base salary range for this role is $450,000 to $545,000, with exact placement determined by your skills, years of experience, and interview performance.
