The Role
We are looking for a dependable, customer-focused, and motivated Food Delivery Driver to join our growing delivery team. Whether you are looking for a flexible part-time opportunity to supplement your income or a stable full-time role with consistent hours and great pay, we have a spot for you on our team. You will be responsible for picking up food orders from local restaurants and delivering them safely, accurately, and on time to customers across your assigned delivery zone.
What You’ll Do
• Order Pickup & Delivery: Pick up food orders from local restaurants and partner eateries; verify order accuracy before departure and deliver orders to customers safely, on time, and in excellent condition.
• Customer Service: Represent the company professionally at every customer interaction; greet customers warmly, handle special delivery instructions, and ensure every customer receives a positive and memorable delivery experience.
• Route Navigation: Use GPS and navigation apps (Google Maps, Waze, or similar) to plan and execute the most efficient delivery routes; adapt to real-time traffic conditions, road closures, and weather to ensure timely deliveries.
• Order Accuracy: Verify order contents against receipts prior to leaving the restaurant; communicate promptly with dispatch or restaurant staff to resolve any order discrepancies or missing items before delivery.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain your delivery vehicle in clean, safe, and roadworthy condition; conduct basic pre-shift vehicle checks (fuel, tires, lights) and report any mechanical issues to management promptly.
• Payment Handling: Process customer payments, tips, and delivery confirmations accurately through the company delivery app; maintain accurate records of all deliveries, payments, and customer interactions.
• Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication with dispatch, restaurant partners, and customers regarding order status, estimated arrival times, and any delivery issues or delays.
• Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all local traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies at all times; follow food safety and handling guidelines to ensure all orders are delivered at the correct temperature and in proper condition.
• Reporting: Report delivery completions, mileage, fuel expenses, and any customer complaints or incidents to management at the end of each shift using the company reporting system.
What We’re Looking For
• Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older (21+ for alcohol delivery where applicable).
• Driver's License: Valid and current driver's license with a clean driving record; no major traffic violations or DUI/DWI convictions within the past 3 years.
• Vehicle: Reliable personal vehicle (car, scooter, or bicycle depending on delivery zone); proof of valid vehicle insurance and current vehicle registration required.
• Navigation Skills: Comfortable using GPS and navigation apps (Google Maps, Waze, or similar); strong knowledge of local streets, neighborhoods, and delivery zones is a plus.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry food orders up to 30 lbs; comfortable navigating stairs, apartment buildings, and various delivery environments in all weather conditions.
• Customer Service: Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude; ability to handle customer complaints and special requests calmly and professionally.
• Time Management: Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple simultaneous deliveries efficiently and meet delivery time targets consistently.
• Smartphone Proficiency: Comfortable using a smartphone and delivery app for order management, navigation, payment processing, and communication; ability to troubleshoot basic app issues independently.
• Reliability: Demonstrated reliability and punctuality; ability to commit to scheduled shifts and maintain consistent attendance.
Compensation & Benefits
We believe in paying top-of-market rates for top-tier talent. The base salary range for this role is $40 to $60/hr, with exact placement determined by your skills, years of experience, and interview performance.
