The Role
We are seeking a Director of Public Relations to own media relations, press strategy, and the company's external narrative. You will lead proactive storytelling, manage the press and reputation, and build the thought-leadership platform that elevates the brand.
What You’ll Do
● PR Strategy: Own the public relations strategy, press plan, and external narrative.
● Media Relations: Build and manage relationships with press, analysts, and influencers.
● Storytelling: Drive proactive storytelling, announcements, and thought leadership.
● Reputation: Manage reputation and support crisis-communications readiness.
● Executive Visibility: Build executive visibility through speaking, bylines, and media.
● Measurement: Track media coverage, share of voice, and PR impact.
What We’re Looking For
● Experience: 8+ years in public relations or media, including team or program leadership.
● Media Network: Established media relationships and a strong pitching track record.
● Storytelling: Exceptional writing and narrative skills.
● Reputation: Experience managing reputation and issues.
● Executive Comms: Experience building executive visibility.
● Analytical: Ability to measure PR impact and share of voice.
● Education: Bachelor's in communications, journalism, PR, or related.
Bonus Points
● Agency: Agency-side PR leadership background.
● Industry: Media relationships in the client's markets.
● Crisis: Crisis-communications experience.
● Corporate Milestones: Experience with IPO, M&A, or major announcement PR.
Compensation & Benefits
We believe in paying top-of-market rates for top-tier talent. The base salary range for this role is $165,000 to $195,000, with exact placement determined by your skills, years of experience, and interview performance.
