Role Overview
The CEO is the top executive responsible for setting the strategic direction, building and leading the leadership team, ensuring sustainable financial performance, and delivering on the company’s mission and long-term value for stakeholders. The CEO partners with the board to establish strategy, culture, and governance, and leads cross-functional execution across all functions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Leadership
Define and articulate the company’s vision, strategy, and long-term roadmap.
Translate strategy into actionable goals, OKRs, and operating plans.
Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing executive leadership team.
Governance and Stakeholder Management
Partner with the board of directors to align on strategy, risk, and performance.
Ensure effective governance, transparency, and regulatory compliance.
Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders (investors, customers, partners, regulators, community).
Financial Stewardship
Own and monitor financial performance: revenue growth, profitability, cash flow, capital allocation.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
Lead fundraising, investor relations, and capital strategy as applicable.
Operations and Execution
Optimize organizational structure, processes, and culture to enable scalable execution.
Drive product/service quality, customer experience, and operational efficiency.

Serve as the chief spokesperson and brand ambassador.
Lead strategic partnerships, alliances, and market expansion efforts.
Innovation and Market Position
Lead investments in R&D, product innovation, and go-to-market strategy.
Monitor competitive landscape and adjust strategy to sustain differentiation.
Performance and Accountability
Define, monitor, and report on KPIs aligned with strategy and stakeholder expectations.
Establish a cadence of reviews with the board and leadership team.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Relevant professional certifications may be considered.
Experience: 10+years in senior leadership roles; proven track record of [revenue growth, profitability, scaling businesses, market expansion, fundraising] in [industry/sector].
Leadership: Demonstrated experience building and leading diverse, high-performing teams; strong change management capabilities.
